The Board of Supervisors of Carroll County, Iowa met in unofficial session in the Boardroom of the Courthouse, in Carroll, Iowa, the County seat of said County on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 5:15 p.m. Central Standard Time pursuant to law, the rules of said Board and to the adjournment with all members present: Neil Bock, District 1; Dean Schettler, District 2; Eugene Meiners, District 3; Marty Danzer, District 4; and Mark Beardmore, District 5.

Motion by Beardmore, second by Schettler to approve the agenda as presented. On roll call, all voted aye.

John Munson, Marcia Schaeffer, and Julie Towne with Saint Anthony Regional Hospital presented an update on the Public Health Department. They gave a detailed overview of all programs and explained how they are funded. Saint Anthony is requesting $61,350 for FY16, no change from FY15. Munson explained the funding is used for the direct running of the Public Health Department.

County Attorney John Werden reviewed FY16 Attorney budget.

The Board proceeded to discuss the county mileage reimbursement rate and the effect it will have on the Home Health Care Aide department. Bock presented a spreadsheet prepared by department Director Megan Owen. It detailed the miles driven by each employee. With the county mileage reimbursement rate being lowered to 87% of the federal rate, it will reduce the mileage reimbursement to the Aides by approximately $1,450 total. Owen will use the $1,450 amount to disperse to employees in amount that reflects total miles driven.

The Supervisors continued to review the FY16 County budget. No official action taken.

Motion by Beardmore, second by Meiners to adjourn at 6:45 p.m. On roll call, all voted aye.
